· Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. This former high school was used by the Khmer Rouge to torture dissidents. Now it’s a dedicated museum. Though disturbing it’s a highly visited museum giving an uncensored look into the horrors of the regime.
· The Killing Fields. Over 1 million people died under Pol Pot’s regime over 200000 of them were killed here. It is possible to see the mass graves and the monument of Choeung Ek that has a mountain of skulls within it.
· Visit the Royal Palace a fine example of combined French and Cambodian construction.
· Visit the National Museum and admire the huge collection of Khmer art, sculpture and archaeological remains, set in a very impressive pagoda.
